Chiki’s adoption fee is $350.
Hi my name is Chiki, and I am an 8 year old Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix. I weigh about 12 pounds, am neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped and just had a dental. It took me a bit to settle into my foster home, but after a month my foster mom says I have developed quite the personality. I am completely house trained, and since the first day in my foster home I have asked to go outside when I really need to go. I enjoy my morning walks, usually before I eat breakfast. I am very curious and like to take time to sniff and see who has been visiting my favourite trees. I usually go for a 30 minute walk in the morning, and go outside two other times per day. I like to say hi to other dogs on walks, but sometimes I get a bit timid. I love saying hi to kids, and I do not chase things like birds or squirrels.
I have been told I have really nice manners in my foster home. I sit in the elevator and wait my turn, and I do not bark much when a human is home with me. I get a bit scared for a while when I am alone and sometimes bark, but the more I settle in the less it happens. I am looking for a home where someone is home most of the time to keep me company, or could bring me with them to work. I like to cuddle a lot and will sleep on my doggie bed or the couch while my foster mom works at her desk. I sleep through the night on my own bed, and am not destructive when my foster mom goes out. Lastly, I am scared of crates, but I do really like to ride shotgun in the car and sleep. I would really just like to find a family that I can cuddle with and follow around throughout the day.
