Canelo's Story...
Hi I am the adorable Canelo! I came to Open Doors from being left in a box with my two brothers at Petsmart and quickly CRISP made sure I got to Open Doors and into foster instead of stinky Animal Control! In typical orange tabby fashion I have a lot to say, I am very vocal and super snuggly! I also love to play with my brothers Riki and Tiki! I am only 10 weeks old so I will need another kitten or young cat to play with in my PURRfect home. I'll also be needing a lap to snuggle on, toys and all the love you can give me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Canelo, a LaGrange Park Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in LaGrange Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in LaGrange Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
