Pork Chop's Story...
"Are you looking for a handsome and lively pooch who will wiggle his way into your heart? That's me, and my name is Pork Chop! I'm a one-year-old Boxer who thinks that everything is meant for play, especially you. Anything you want to do, I'll also want to do. I'm the life of the party, and I'll always keep you on your toes, so the fun is guaranteed. I like everyone, including other dogs. As a very playful fellow, I'd do best with other dogs who are on the large side. If a family adopts me, the kids should be older and, shall we say, sturdy. I've been learning how to sit on command, and I'm getting better at it every day. After a good round of fetch, I'm ready for training and then snuggles. I hope you'll continue to work with me at home so I'll learn good manners. I'd need to have a fenced yard at my new home, and I'll need a good dose of daily exercise to be at my best. I am a Boxer, after all. Please come meet me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can hang out in the great play yard that they have here. I'd love to have a person or family who'll love me and care for me till the end of time. Love, Pork Chop"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pork Chop, a El Cajon Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
