My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You will never meet a nicer dog than Nova. She's a 6 year old super sweet Chihuahua mix. Nova was transferred to Friendship from another shelter while pregnant. She had her litter while in foster care and was an excellent mother. Her foster mom said she was a wonderful guest in her home. Nova is finally ready to find a home of her own. She's somewhat timid in her kennel but as soon as you take her out, she's a little love bug. She loves to be with people and have her belly rubbed...as you can see in the 3rd photo. Nova is excellent on a leash and would be a great walking partner. We really can't say enough good things about Nova. Kids over 6 years of age may be best. She may be intimidated with rambunctious younger kids.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
