My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Noble is a 7-year-old ShihTzu mix who previously lost the sight in his right eye from a dog bite and recently had his left eye removed due to glaucoma.

Noble does exceptionally well finding his way around and is very independent. He can go outside to the yard and potty on his own, get on and off the bed via doggie steps, and jump on and off chairs, benches, and sofas just like the other dogs.

This is our first experience fostering a blind dog and Noble has amazed us with his ability to acclimate to his surroundings in a very short period of time. We have learned, and seen first-hand, that because a dogs hearing and sense of smell are so keen, they do not rely on their sight like humans do.

In spite of the trauma he has had to endure, Noble is a very gentle boy with a loving temperament. He is cuddly and affectionate and wants nothing more than to be on your lap. Noble also enjoys being outdoors and going for walks and he is fully housebroken. He gets along well with other dogs--both large and small, and Noble is good with our young grandchildren. He is a very happy boy who lives to please and his tail is in constant motion.
