Bluebella is 7 months old and weighs 28 lbs. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash, loves people, has good social skills for a young, energetic girl, and loves to play. She lives with large and small dogs in foster care and is generally respectful of them. She was pretty rude with her dog friends when she came to foster care - very excited and running around and bumping them and being generally annoying to them - but she has learned how to behave in a house and with her dog friends. There are also cats in her foster home and occasionally she likes to chase them and is getting braver when they turn around and hiss/swat at her so she would probably do best in a feline-free household. Bluebella is very people oriented and loves to play catch and go for car rides. She is very energetic so would do best in an environment where she could get enough exercise and continue to work on her manners and general obedience. She is a great little dog and she is ready for a home of her own!
This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! First, CPR with be with North Shore Animal League on Friday, August 4th at Petland Discounts in Southbury, CT from 2pm-6pm. Then, CPR will be at Petco in Southington, CT on Saturday, August 5th from 10am-2pm. Lastly, CPR will be hosting an open house at their adoption center located at 522 N. Georges Hill Rd in Southbury, CT on Sunday, August 6th from 10am-1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. Come meet our pups and find your forever friend!
This puppy is spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury, CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn, MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn, MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
