Sandy is a Brindle boxerpit. She weighs about nine pounds now but will grow to be a medium sized dog. I am training her to bite toys and no flesh. Someone must have roughhoused with their arms/hands. She is getting used to being given a toy when she attempts to play nip.
She needs companionship. Even when engrossed in a toy she may lay over your foot or just come over to be snuggled. She is crate trained. Does fine for the afternoon errand and for me sleeps on her bed in the crate. (I take medicine that doesn't allow for late evening or thru the night supervision.)
Smart: knows to alert you she needs to go potty, most of the time, otherwise just be observant and you can tell she needs to go. Answers to her name. Knows she'll get a treat when she goes outside. Almost to the fetch stage; she'll chase a ball but rarely brings it back.
I believe this dog will be the best family pet ever.
