My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boss is a lovely, sweet natured middle aged boy who just wants to be loved and cuddled. He is very laid back and quiet, and is a total gentlemen.
He came to CEBR very underweight and hungry, and is currently on a regime of 3 meals a day with minimal walks, to get his strength and body mass back.
He has suffered permanent damage to his left cornea (possibly due to prior untreated infection/dry eye) and now has a permanently milky film on it. He can still see from this eye, but it is limited. He may need to be on eye meds (neopolydex and optimmune) for the rest of his life.
He is good with car rides, and hops into the passenger footwell, and then jumps up onto the passenger seat. He is quite comfortable lying down in the seat next to you snoozing as you drive, and is very well behaved. He loves sitting in the sun and snoozing, giving high five, and knows some commands like 'sit'. Just an all round, low key sweetie.
Boss is still getting acclimatized to his surroundings and new people and is a bit timid/frightened of any loud noises or raised voices. He follows his humans everywhere around the house and just wants to be near you. He'll sit down on your feet and sit there for hours while you pet him.
Outside on potty breaks he's a little bit stubborn and very slow moving. He must sniff every single tree, signpost and hydrant to mark it, although this might improve once he's neutered, which will be imminently. However, patience is a must on walks as he is one slow mover!
He can do stairs but is tentatively trying these out and is still quite weak in moving around, due to his weight loss.
He is good with other dogs but can be a bit over amorous at first and will need human supervision for a little while. He is submissive and curious with his interactions, with his mind on humping and not aggression.
Since he loves attention and interaction with humans, I think a family with older kids would be perfect for him where he could be the center of attention for the rest of his life! :-)
