Hi I am Maximus and you can call me Max for short!
I had a really most horrible person as an owner! I was not only dumped at a kill pound at the worst time of year (not like there's a ever a good time to dump a pet!) but I was in such bad shape that obviously the jerk who got me as a puppy put a collar on me and never EVER got me a new one so as I grew it got tighter and tighter and tighter and was so embedded into my skin that it had to be cut out so I now have a huge scar around my neck. What a cruel and disgusting person! When a shelter volunteer saw me she broke down and started crying, managed to pull herself together and called Bullies And Buddies Rescue if they could get me out of there and to a vet, I had barely been fed and was infested with fleas. THAT WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! The team jumped into action, got the paperwork done and off to a doctor for care I went! It was the first time in my entire life that I felt RELIEF I tell you. Even tho I have been treated like dirt in the past that is all behind me and I am so very grateful and HAPPY-YES! I'm what they call a pocket pittie-I only weigh around 35 pounds, I just love other dogs big and small and I LOVE all humans! They think that I'm a pitbull/husky mix with a smidge of boston terrier and around 1 year old.
