My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wally is a 3 year old male bulldog mix that came from TN.  Wally makes friends with everyone he meets and absolutely loves people of all ages.  He's very gentle, but he could possibly knock over a small child due to size and strength.  Wally loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them, but he can get a bit rough at times.  He likes to be the boss.  He was originally fostered with two small breed dogs and got along very well with them.  Wally has his quirks, like loud snoring and climbing fences.  Wally is quite the escape artist.  He is not looking to run away.  Quite the opposite.  He actually just loves people so much that he climbs fences to say hello to neighbors and people passing by.  This is something a potential adopter needs to be aware of.  Wally is not a fan of cats and we won't adopt Wally to a family with a cat.  In addition, he is very protective of his food when it comes to other dogs.  He does not like to share and so we feel that Wally would simply benefit from being fed separately from other dogs.  He does not have food aggression with humans, but we still recommend caution and for this reason, as well as his size, we recommend that Wally be adopted to a home without young children.  Wally also was fostered in a home with a young adult with autism and he did very well.  His TN fosters believed that Wally has great potential for becoming a therapy dog, if trained.  All in all, Wally is an outgoing guy with great curiosity.  He is UTD on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, and dewormed.
