Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Girlie. I am truly one of the lucky ones. You see, I was born in the fields in Coachella, and a nice lady came and took me in to get spayed, and decided I couldn't go back to the life I had as one of the dogs of the field hands. I am a little over two years old, spayed, current on my shots. I love to be in this new thing called air conditioning, and I always go to the bathroom on the papers that my foster mom puts down for me. I love that she touches me so gently, and often. I am still very shy, but always wag my tail for any newcomers. I love to play with the other dogs here, even though I take a little time to get used to them. I would be perfect in an adult home, with lots of human company and a doggie door. Now that I don't have to live in the opressive heat, I do like to go outside and explore my yard. Please consider me to be a part of your family. I may take a little while to settle in, this transition has been huge, but I can see wonderful things in my future. I absolutely love this new thing called a leash.
