Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tiptoeing into new situations isn’t a bad thing. Jenny just wants to make sure you deserve her undying affection!
Jenny is a very shy dog who is a bit unsure of herself. Being tiny, she’s been bullied by another dog and had a less than spectacular upbringing so she’s a little unsure of new people and dogs until she gets to know them. Once that in her circle of trust, you’ll have the most loving and affectionate darling come out!
Being timid isn’t bad! Jenny’s shyness eventually yields to tons of sweet cuddles and kisses! She loves attention and she is even more loving when she’s the only dog around. She want more than petting…belly rubs and being picked up is necessary! This will happen once she adjusts to a new place or home and trust every member of the family. Let her come to you! This mellow gal’s outdoors activities include walks and lounging in the grass underneath that wonderful sun.
Ready-made manners. Jenny is a naturally well-behaved dog. She’s just happy to be with you and will whatever pleases you! Crates, leashes, car rides, grooming, alone at home, you name it, she can do it! She’ll be even better when she has her human beside her! Specific commands are being working on but if you point your finger and say “bang!”, she’ll play dead (but is actually asking for belly rubs!
Constant companion. Jenny’s timid nature has a need to always feel reassured. Though she’s behaved home alone, she wishes she was always by her human and may cry. She needs someone to run to if something scares her! Large dogs are intimidating but once she has a chance to properly meet them, you’ll see her relax! However, she may bug the cat! Toys are foreign to her and she doesn’t quite to know what to do with them.
Jenny may be small but she loves having a yard for exploratory adventures! Small children or large canine siblings may not be the best fit for her. If you or a family member wants a constant companion, or is home often, you may have found your canine companion!
