I am good with cats.

TIPSY's Story...

TIPSY is adorable and so very sweet natured. He is playful and active, but a little more mellow than some kittens. Even from the start when he came to us he was friendly and purring, while some of his siblings were scared and hissing. Tipsy is also gentle and would be good for kitten friendly children.

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation. On average, we spend about $125 to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption, which includes testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, vet care, medicine and spay/neuter (if old enough). We set a minimum donation at $50 and just ask adopters to cover more of the $125 if can afford it. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more of our cats. It is also important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and intend to give them a home for life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TIPSY, a Flint HIll Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Flint HIll, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Flint HIll.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flint HIll already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flint HIll breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flint HIll paves the way for another one to be saved.
