Meet Sprout!
Sprout is a teeny tiny little teacup Chihuahua. He is approximately 2 years old and weighs just 4.5 lbs. He is so very sweet and loves everyone he meets! Because Sprout is so tiny we recommend a home without any children.
When we rescued Sprout from the county shelter, he was in pretty bad condition. He was sick with an upper respiratory infection and he had a previous injury to his left hind leg that had never been treated. We have been nursing Sprout back to health and he is doing great. Sprout has seen a veterinarian about his left hind leg. There is a large calcification on the bone above his knee. The vet says the best thing for Sprout will be to remove the leg as he can't use it at all and it is really in his way. This surgery is scheduled in a couple weeks. This will be the last step in Sprouts recovery and then he will be available for adoption. Sprout will be able to get around just fine after the surgery and will had no more problems related to the procedure. The vet says he should have a long and happy life and a Tri-Pod!
