Hi all, My name is Athena.

I am a 5 year young Schnauzer girl, but boy I sure don't act like it. I can play with the best of them.
I weigh 16lbs and am just full of fun and life.

A lot of my life prior to rescue is not known. What is known is that I was picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter. So long story short, Schnauzer Rescue was notified, and here I am. Lucky for me they took me straight in for vetting because a large bladder stone was found and I had to have surgery. I'm so glad they found the reason I didn't feel good, because now....I'm like a brand new pup.

Not a care in the world, except where the cool squeaky toys are, and when I can go outside to play.

Now I am with my rescue family, having a blast, playing with other foster pups. Even though I play and do well at first, I do not like sharing love and family with other pups. For this reason my foster mom feels I should be an only dog.

I am UTD on all my shots, micro-chipped, and spayed. I am crate trained and completely house broke. I am on a special food to prevent my stones from returning (Urinary SO) and my new family should have my blood work checked every 6 months, to assure I have no stones starting. Other than that minor detail, I am ready to start a new Great life.
