Do not ask to pop by to view a dog - it will be declined. Our dogs are in various locations in foster homes. Viewings are arranged with volunteers ,around rescue work, reg jobs and family and only offered to an approved app to ensure its a possible fit for the dog and applicant and to not waste anyone's time.

It can be completed, saved and emailed back to the rescue at
petrescue@hurontel.on.ca .

1. We require a fully filled app to be considered as a possible home
2. Only the approved app will be permitted a viewing with the pet ** in the foster home 3. ALL family members MUST meet the dog ** in the foster home** .
4. Any existing pets MUST attend the meet/ greet with the dog ** at the foster home ** .
5. A home visit must be completed as part of the adoption process after the initial viewing by a rescue representative.
This is not a replacement of the meet/ greet at the Foster home.
6. We do not adopt outside of ONTARIO .
7. We do not deliver dogs. If and once the adoption process is approved and complete the dog must be picked up at the foster home

**COSTS/ ADOPTION FEE ** :
The adoption fee does NOT cover the cost of vetting or supplies for these animals - If you cannot afford the adoption fee
(that is a fraction of actual REDUCED VETTING expenses incurred) then you should reconsider adopting.
These animals deserve forever homes, good food, regular vet care, and emergency care as needed.
Pets should never be euthanized by their owners simply based on financial consideration when something goes wrong.

WHY IS THIS DOG IN NEED??- This little girls family find that they are not able to meet her high energy needs and have asked us to help in her re-homing thru our adoption /screening process.

WHERE IS THIS DOG NOW ?- She is currently with her care-giver in the Guelph area. she has been met for a meet/ greet with larger dogs with no issues, as well as by a trainer with larger dogs and did well and even tried to play. She is active and can get over stimulated so needs simple redirection, boundaries- rules as any dog and,training for a bit of fine-tuning and confidence building.:)
Her adoption fee is $400

-If yes… how does he/she react ? tries to cuddle and tries to entice play with him but running past him with toys in her mouth

Would you say your pet is a stable, well mannered, pet ? She jumps up on her back legs if she smells food on the kitchen table or the kitchen counter

-or a bit rough around the edges :needing additional basic training needs? She needs training - she can play a bit rough with our dog.



Personality/ reaction- with those it knows? She wags her tail to everyone she sees
Personality/ reaction- with strangers ? we had family over this past weekend that had never met her and she ran up to greet them with no issues
Has the animal ever shown/ possession/ aggression/ reactivity to anyone or anything? only larger dogs
Has the animal ever bitten in the past? not that we know of and not while she has been with us
-if yes please explain in good detail situation/ trigger/ outcome, what was the pets reaction/ body signals before the incident ? .

Are there any behavioral problems? If yes what are they ? Jumping on furniture, front paws on kitchen table front paws on kitchen counter. she doesn't understand no all he time. Sometimes when we say no, she walks away other times she ignores us

Is there any separation issues? no
Are there any fears? if you raise your voice she tends to tuck her tail between her legs
-to what and how does the pet react? she will cower - not sure if she was hit in the past but she will lower her front body and raise her behind
Are there any possession issues with food/ toys/ space towards people/ kids or other pets ?no, I have taken food away from her while she is eating to slow her down (she eats very fast) and she hasn't reacted




ROUTINE:
Where is the animal kept during the day? in her crate, in the hallway which is large and bright
Where is it kept at night? in the same crate

How long is this animal generally left alone in a day? from 6am to 4pm
Is it ever kept outside, and if so, for how long? only goes outside in our backyard to play and if we are sitting outside
Is it used to being chained or kenneled or running free?running free
Have you ever boarded the animal or had a pet sitter out of your home environment? yes, it was a short few days after we got her but we had no choice. They did have to separate her because she was aggressive with the larger dogs, she also damaged the crate they had. They told us she slept fine all night and when they took her back to the crate after feeding her in the morning - she damaged the crate.
What is the animal being fed? She is fed Go
Is it free fed? not sure what this means
How much per day? she is fed 1/2 cup twice a day
Is it used to bottled water? yes and tap water

Please provide this pets current routine: we wake her up at 5am to take her on a walk to do her business. We both leave between 5:30am and 6:15 for work. She is crated until one of us gets home. She then goes for a walk, about 30 - 40 mins and is fed dinner at approx 4pm. We then put her outside if he weather is nice so she can play and run around. We then take her out for a walk again at around 7pm or a bit later for another 30-40 mins. Bed time is usually at 9:30pm or 10pm



The best home for this pet would be : someone who has the time to spend training her. She is a beautiful girl and deserves to have a family that can devote time to her. Whether she is an only pet or another pet with her energy level. She loves to walk and run and loves to be given time to sniff.
