Athena's Story...
Athena is definitely a superstar dog! True to her name, this girl is a beautiful brown and white brindle who walks with an elegance that speaks to her friendly, yet restrained-in-its-enthusiasm personality, as well. This lovely girl is very people oriented, and adores getting hugs and kisses from a willing volunteer. Athena also does quite well with canine companions. In a recent play session with a male shelter dog, she had a wonderful time: good-mannered girl that she is, Athena never pushed the boundaries to the point where she needed correction by the volunteer handlers. If introduced properly, Athena can most likely live peaceably with a cat. Come meet Athena, a pooch who is quite beautiful, both inside and out.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
