This sweet girl is Tessa!

Tessa is an approximately 5-year old female Shepherd mix and weighs around 55 lbs. Tessa was adopted as a puppy and then returned 2 years later because they didn’t have time for her.

Tessa does well playing with other dogs at doggy daycare but gets a little overwhelmed living with dogs full time. She would do well with one other calm dog or as an only dog.

Tessa is a very friendly and affectionate dog who enjoys time with her people. She is also good with kids. Tessa is a quick learner when someone is clear and consistent with what they want. She loves tennis balls and any kind of ball toy!

Tessa is very smart and loyal. She just needs someone to be patient and understanding with her. She has some separation anxiety (understandable) when left alone, so we recommend crating her when gone. Due to being kept outside in a yard by herself for two years, she does not do well being left alone outside so she will need a home that will allow her to stay in the home.

Tessa would do best in a home with an active owner who will take her on regular walks. She does need a yard with a 6 ft stockade fence.

Tessa is house, crate, and leash trained.

Tessa is spayed, current on her vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $175.
