Here's what the humans have to say about me:
June 2017: Now that Ginger is here, she is doing so well! She is in foster with multiple dogs and cats as well. She gets along with everyone and is a wonderful, quiet girl. Ginger is about 6 years old and she is a doll!
She weighs about 50 lbs and we have no idea what her breed mix is but she seems to have some Corgi in there with those adorable squatty legs. She wandered up to a house and was dragging a chain with an embedded collar - the family took Ginger in and she was wonderful with the children and their two other dogs. Sadly, they are relocating to Hawaii for a new job and they can't take their dogs. They rehomed the original two and brought Ginger to our southern partner shelter.
The shelter staff have told us, “Gentle Ginger is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met! She is so good on a leash and is a well-mannered companion on daily walks. Ginger is housebroken and crate trained, too! She enjoys her outings in the play yard and has such fun playing. Most of all, Ginger loves being around people of all ages and is the best cuddle buddy! She also does well with cats and other dogs. Precious Ginger will be such a devoted part of her new family. Ginger is fearful of storms but relaxes when you sit next to her for petting and cuddling.” The family is heartbroken to surrender her but they have no choice. They just want her to find the wonderful family she deserves.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
