Hi! My name is Bounder. I am a friendly boy who was brought in to the pound as a stray and my people didn't come for me, so I'm looking for a new family!

I am about 8 months to a year old, and I'm about 40 lbs. The rescue thinks I'm a pit bull mixed with maybe Pointer or Collie or Lab or other Retriever. I might grow to be a little bigger, but not too much. I have a great smile and would love for you to consider applying for me to be your new pet!

I am a very friendly boy, although I get pretty excited when I say hello (very common in young dogs!), and so excited that I can be a lot for smaller children to handle, so might do best in a home with older kids.

I have lots of energy and am a big puppy, so will need a family with a flexible schedule or ability to take me to work so that I have plenty of socialization, exercise, and training as I grow through adulthood.

So far, I've been good with the other dogs that the rescue has had me around, although they haven't seen me with cats. I would love to go on walks with you and take rides in the car. I’m a pretty quiet dog and seem to be crate trained and housebroken. Right now I am all alone at the extra kennel for the city, and would like more than anything to have my very own family that loves me.

Bounder needs a foster or adoptive home. We are very full right now, and would welcome applications for either. Bounder is currently near Tri Cities, but can be brought to Seattle for an approved adopter or foster.

Bounder's adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, up-to-date vaccines, up-to-date rabies vaccine, and microchip. If you're interested in adopting this wonderful boy, please complete an online application here:

About Red Waggin' Rescue - Kirkland Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Red Waggin' Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 that grew out of Connell Pet Rescue. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers that do this part-time and unpaid.

The City of Connell is located in Eastern Washington, and since it is a small city, it has no animal control, no proper animal shelter, and no pet rescue services. Red Waggin' Rescue is fully staffed by part-time volunteers to help the City of Connell Police Department rescue, provide vet care for, and find new forever homes for homeless dogs and other animals from Connell, WA and the surrounding areas. Our volunteers and foster homes are active in both Eastern Washington and the Puget Sound areas.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Although there is a small holding area managed by the City of Connell Police Department, Red Waggin' Rescue/Connell Pet Rescue has no permanent shelter facility.

Our animals stay in foster homes while they await their new homes, that are found in Eastern Washington and all the way to the Puget Sound area.

Generally, if an approved adopter is interested in another part of Washington State, transport can be arranged and runs roughly every other weekend.

Our Adoption Process...

Email Connellpetrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application form.

If you are interested to make one of our animals your new family member, please email connellpetrescue@gmail.com for an application form, which you may fill out and email back to us.

Please allow a few days for a response, as we are only part-time volunteers. We require a completed application in order to meet a pet.

Once approved, if you meet a pet and all agree it is a good match: a volunteer will do a home visit, you will sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and begin the approval period. Generally, adoption fees are $250–$350 for dogs and $50–$150 for cats, and include spaying/neutering, basic vaccines, and microchipping, all required by our rescue.

All of our adoptions include a 7-day money-back approval period. After 7 days, a pet must still be returned to our rescue but adoption fees are not refunded.
