Tucker's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Tucker's Story...
It is always difficult when an owner dies and their animal has nowhere to go. This is the case for Tucker. He had the most loving owner but is now back at the shelter looking for his next loving family.

Tucker is neutered, is about 7 years old, and is a Pomeranian/Schnauzer mix. He loves to sit on your lap and snuggle. He also has done great around other dogs and cats. Tucker does a great job at being house-trained. He's quite the intelligent boy!

Tucker's future owners will need to make sure that they can provide consistent veterinarian care for him. He has a condition called Immune-Mediated Polyarthritis. It will require him to be on lifelong medication. He has been doing great lately and hasn't had any flare ups as it has been monitored by the vet closely.

Tucker has an absolutely adorable personality! He is a spunky and fun boy! His favorite activity is playing with any kind of tennis ball - he loves fetch, too! Any children in his new home should be about 10 and older. He can become anxious around smaller children. We want to make sure to give Tucker the best chance at finding his next forever family. He is one swell guy. Come meet him - you will fall in love quickly!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tucker, a Michigan City Pomeranian/Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Pomeranian/Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Pomeranian/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
