My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nora is a friendly, tri-colored girl who is 10 to 11 years old. She has completeted treatment for heartworm and is getting settled in her foster home. She says, "Hi, I'm Nora and just look at all my freckles! Aren't I adorable?! My people turned me out but I don't know why. Since March 2015 I've been taken real good care of by smiling, gentle people. Now I'm safe and loved in my foster home living with a girl foster and boy Dachshund and we all get along. They taught me the dog door so I'm pretty well housebroken. Look at me. I'm petite and open to meet you. I can do so much! I'm learning to do stairs! That's quite a feat because stairs are really scary especially coming down. I want to be with my people, quietly finding a place to lie down and keep company. That suits me just fine. My legs won't let me walk long distances but otherwise I move OK if a little slowly. I wish I could tell my foster people what happened to me in the past that's made me kinda leery of men but once I realize you won't hurt me, I come around. My trick is to come up behind you and touch the back of your leg with my nose - foster mom says my whiskers tickle and my nose is cold and wet and she smiles and giggles at me. Can I make you giggle too? If you pick me to come home with you, I'll do my very best."
