My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here’s our latest orange duo, REAGAN and RILEY, a bonded pair from the North Shore. They had been passed around somewhat on their way to us. Both are medium-haired, fairly small and skinny, and estimated at about two years old. They apparently lived at a college campus, and were left behind by students going home, like old shoes.

Riley is the male, buff and white. Reagan is his sister, orange and white. She arrived pregnant, but the kittens did not survive. Reagan is a nice kitty and can be handled OK, but Riley hisses and swipes and lays his ears down flat. They were kept separate during her pregnancy, so one reason for Riley’s nastiness might be that he missed his sister, whom he feels he must protect. He doesn’t trust us anymore.

Now they have both been “fixed” and they have gone back to live together. Maybe when Riley realizes that there will be no more upheavals in their lives, he will start trusting people again. There has already been a little improvement in his attitude. Now they are ready for the next phase of their lives – a permanent home with patient people to love them. We would like to have them adopted as a pair. If you are an experienced adopter and would like more of a challenge than the standard lap cat, then come and meet these two.
