My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Groundhog!! I know, I know - WHO names a handsome dog like me "Groundhog"?? Won't you adopt me and do the loving thing and give me a REAL name?

Isn't this cute face ALL you need to know about me? I know it is, but just in case you are curious like me, here is a few more details you might be interested in. I'm a young male about four and a half months old. Right now I weigh 30lbs. My foster parents say I'm a very sweet thing and calm for a puppy my age. I like to be close to my people and follow them everywhere they go if I can. I'm not too shy, I will run right up to people and other dogs - I'm hoping they will want to play! I like to play with toys, balls, and chew on all kinds of cool bones. I'm so good I have not destroyed one toy yet!! How is that for self control?!!

We are working on something called "go potty" outside. I'm a fast learner though, as I haven't had an accident for nearly 24 hours. I sleep in a crate all night long and can hold it until my foster mom takes me outside, boy am I happy to see her after sleeping all night. Since I'm learning this "potty" thing so fast, I would love to learn things like sit and shake and cool things like that!

Right now my foster family has dog company, so I'm getting to hang out with a yellow lab and a yorkie mix. They are so fun to be around and play with. The lab is teaching me it's fun to chase tennis balls. I don't have any experience with cats, I'm still learning about this big old world.

I'm a fun loving, easy going fellow! I would love to have a fur brother or sister to play with, because FAMILY is the best! Well, what more do you need to know about me?? Ya know you wanna meet me! Hope to see you soon!

For more information, please take a look at www.goldenretrieverfreedom.org. Please review the adoption requirements before submitting an online application.

Please remember that GRFR adopts puppies to forever families who have sufficient time at home to socialize, house train and nurture their
new puppy. Also note: puppies should not leave your yard or be exposed to any other dogs unless you are certain that such other dogs have
been fully vaccinated and are older than six months. They should not go to parks or Petsmart or anywhere else until they have their last
booster shot, as they could contract a potentially lethal virus.
Before taking your puppy to puppy class please discuss vaccination requirements for various classes with your trainer or vet. Puppies
often need a few dewormers and we encourage you to discuss this with your vet.
