Tana. 1.5 to 2 years old. 7.5 lbs. She does the low to the ground army crawl. Tana loves outside, going for walks, and adores human attention. She is slow to warm up to new dogs but she does so within a short period of time. Tana growled at the puppies jumping on her head and was not keene on a newbie trying to sleep in her bed. After a cocoupleuole hours though, everyone was friends and Tana was wagging and butt smelling with the herd of chi's. She is doing much better, we just had a rough first impression. As you can see, she is a very happy girl.

Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. All of our adoptable dogs are located in the San Antonio area. Additional photos and videos will be made available to potential adopters upon approval of our online adoption application. Transport arrangements will be made upon application approval and completion of the adoption agreement.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tana, a Brattleboro Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
