Hello there….my name is Chester. Some people would call me a ‘senior’ at 11 years old, but I beg to differ. I am a spry old guy and have lots of living left to do. I am a blonde & white haired Chihuahua, and in case you were wondering, the answer is ‘yes…blondes do have more fun!’ I am a bit stocky for my size (approximately 13 pounds), but I am packing a whole lot of power into this small frame.
I like my dog friends, but would prefer if they were small like me. The wonderful volunteers here at the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter have not yet tested me with cats. As with all adoptions, if you have dogs in your home, I would very much like to meet them before you settle on me. Yes, I know, I am a popular guy and you will want to snatch me up right away, but let’s be smart about this. I would like to meet your entire family, pets and all.
I am crate trained, neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on my shots. I take a little medication for a skin rash. My peeps here at the shelter are still determining if I have an allergy. Seriously, anyone can adopt a puppy, but only ONE family can adopt me, and I am fabulous. I am not really toy motivated, but I do love my treats. Hey, I know what you are thinking, but I am careful. I would hate to ruin my outstanding physique. I am a playful, sweet guy just looking for his forever home. Take a chance…come on down and meet with me.
