IO AND THEBE (R)'s Story...
These itty bitty babies are Thebe and Io. They are only about 2 months old and 2 lbs. They are current on their vaccines and they will be microchipped, spayed or neutered, and Combo tested when adopted. Thebe and Io were brought to the shelter as owner turn ins on 6/30/2017. They are both in cage 648 and their ID's are 597549 (Io) and 597551 (Thebe). Io is female and Thebe is male. In the picture, Io is wearing a pink ID collar and Thebe is wearing a blue ID collar. They can be adopted separately, but it would be wonderful to adopt at least two kittens together. They would always have each other's company and someone to play with. Their cage number could change, so please make a note of their ID numbers and ask for assistance if you don't find them in cage 648.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Act quickly to adopt IO AND THEBE (R). Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

IO AND THEBE (R), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
