Talk about a transformation! When we brought Zsa Zsa
in from the county shelter, we shuttered to think
how much pain she was in. She was covered in mange and had open wounds all over her legs. But, as
you know, we at Saving Paws love a good makeover. So, we set to work with daily medicated baths,
quality fo
od, a nail trim, and most importantly, TONS of love from our volunteers.
We’ve learned a few things about Zsa Zsa as she’s come out of her shell. When she first arrived, she
cowered and looked petrified.
But
she’s gotten tons of attention, which she likel
y never had much of
before and is absolutely loving it.
And she’s even learning how to play tug and run around like a happy,
happy dog.
Our volunteers
are
in love quickly with this sweet, sweet girl.
Zsa Zsa is about two years old. Her skin is
all healed
up
from the mange and her beautiful black fur is
getting thick and shiny. S
he LOVES people. She runs right up to everyone for pets and attention. When
we take her out for playtime, she makes the rounds and runs over to greet each volunteer one by one,
it’s
so cute. This girl is making up for lost time!
She hasn’t been around other dogs a lot, but she seems to get along with them
at the rescue
and is very
low key and has a good disposition. She would likely do best with a loving, active family that will sp
end
lots of time with her. We think she would be OK with children given her disposition, but it’s always a
good idea to spend a few visits with the whole family getting to know her if you’re interested in bringing
her home.
We think Zsa Zsa will be a pret
ty easy dog. Seriously, this girl only wants love, a soft bed
near her people
,
lots of attention and food! She is as sweet as they come and deserves her own 15 minutes of fame,
followed by a lifetime of happiness.
