About Cody
A Short Sad Story
We kittens have a story that broke our foster's heart. You see, our foster mom's cousin was dealing with Stage 4 breast cancer when someone dumped our pregnant mom outside her house.
Having to deal with chemo, radiation, surgery, and mounting medical bills, our human mom also lost her job and medical insurance.
With the help of our foster mom, we now have a chance to find a home where we can look forward to a nice life. Please consider giving us a second chance. We love to play with anyone, especially other kittens, and we even get along with dogs. (No small kids, please.)
Thanks,
Cody & Cami,
DOB 4/22/2017

About Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation, Inc. (AARF)

About Our Rescue Group...

Mission Statement: AARF aids homeless and helpless cats and dogs in the greater Winston-Salem area: providing rescue and adoption services, while encouraging the human/animal bond.

Strategic Focus Area: Neglected, homeless and abused companion animals, and the pets whose owners have either gone to nursing homes or are deceased.

History: Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation, Inc. (AARF) was incorporated in 1995 as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization to assist animals and people in the community through adoption services and rescue operations. AARF is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is supported by 136 regular volunteers who work tirelessly, and other 'as needed' volunteers who participate in special events/fundraisers to implement the AARF mission. We also have 10 volunteer veterinarians who work with us to support our goals.

Other Accomplishments: AARF works with local veterinarians to hold several Rabies Clinics per year. Public education on animal care and pet owner responsibility is a priority. We also rescue suitable animals from euthanasia.
