My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rita is a very pretty hound/maybe some Mastiff mixed breed girl, 82 lbs., gentle and very quiet. She is labeled "Special Needs" because she is shy and needs someone who will help her come out of her shell, although she'll follow you around the house. She allows you to pet her and walk her, but she shies away from fast movements- so we are looking for someone who has experience with a shy dog. In the meantime, she certainly loves other dogs, especially similar size dogs, either sex. Not tested with cats yet, but we suspect she'll be fine with them. Older children would be best for her. We have no doubt she will blossom into a wonderful companion with someone who can give her time and patience. Can you be that special person for her?
