I am SWEET SWEET Patterdale Terrier mix looking for my forever home. I am a small sized kid, my birth date was December 6th 2015, 12lbs. I am a happy friendly dog, and love to be with humans. I am good with other dogs and I loved to be loved.
I am a lucky dog, I was surrendered to this amazing rescue only weighing about 6lbs. by my owners who could no longer care for me. But they didn't know how sick I really was. My new rescue saved my life. I almost died as I have a condition called EPI (Endocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). An EPI dog cannot absorb enzymes from their food and cannot gain weight, so I have to have this special enzyme powder put in my food every day. Had I not been rescued I would have died with my owners.
My best fit is a family that will not flinch at my special care. My powder lasts about 6 months and cost about $80 and I require a Vitamin B12 injection once a month. My rescue has offered to supply the first year of my enzyme care and a year supply of Vitamin B12 injections. I love my life and I love to eat now :) Its easy to care form me just mix the powder in my food in the morning :)
As you can see in my photos, I am affectionate and have a smile on my face as I am grateful to be alive today, and I am here just for you!

Requirements for Adoption:
The dogs are inside dogs and family members, the adopter has a secure fenced yard to exercise and play in. Children should be school-aged or older, no toddlers.
RUFIO's adoption fee includes:
Neuter, Microchip, Rabies, Vaccinations (5in1 and Bordatella), Deworming, Preventive treatment against fleas /ticks and internal parasites, Grooming.
If you are offering a loving home for RUFIO, please use contact info to inquire and receive an application to complete and return it with photos / video of your yard, perimeter on fencing and gates prior to schedule a meet and greet. Application receipt is not approval for adoption. All applications will be reviewed by the board of directors for approval.
