Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tested negative for FIV and FeLV, DOB December 9, 2014.
Lulu is a gorgeous and sweet little cat. She is a lovely brown tabby with a floofy tail and tummy. She’s got bright yellow eyes and long, gangly whiskers with a little pink nose. She is both beautiful and adorable!
With her sweet little meow, she is quite the conversationalist and will enjoy having chats with you if you engager her. Lulu will rarely sit in your lap and doesn’t care to be held for long, but she likes to be nearby her humans, loves to be pet and scratched under the chin and will purr softly for you. Often during a petting session she will totally relax, but occasionally she can get a bit excited and accidentally bring out the claws, so she is not a good match for children. All an adult has to do is watch her body language to avoid any scratches. She is not an aggressive kitty.
Lulu loves to sit in the window and watch the birds and sniff the air. Like a true cat, she loves to hang out inside boxes and on cardboard of all kinds. Her favourite spot is in an open cardboard box close to her human where she will relax, take baths and nap. She will nuzzle with her catnip toys for long periods by herself, but loves it best when her human plays with her using interactive toys, the feather wand being her favourite.
Lulu has non-regenerative anemia caused by a decrease in red blood cell production. Why she has this is unknown, but it is usually a symptom of some other problem that we have not yet been able to identify. There is no treatment required for the anemia, but she requires a diagnosis for the underlying ailment, which may need to be treated.
Due to her anemic condition, Lulu frequently licks surfaces (floors, walls, windows) so this behaviour needs to be accepted and accommodated by using only all natural non-toxic cleaning products in the house. The licking of surfaces is the only clue you will have that she is anemic – she shows no other symptoms. Lulu is bright, curious, alert, social, energetic and playful with a high quality of life.
Because of Lulu's special needs, in lieu of our standard adoption fee, an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated.
