Mia's Story...
About Mia
MIA
Female
Birthdate 4/13/17
MIA is a big eyed, full of life, medium haired tabby, who is sweet and snuggly but full of playful love. Mia says….” I have been bottle fed and I really like the special attention I got from the foster family holding me close and feeding me warm milk. I used to do yoga poses while holding onto the bottle… ok so I like to hold on to what feels and taste good. I’ll do tricks to get attention… and treats… I do like to chase pipe cleaners and balls with bells. I will toss it up and catch it… and yes I do share my toys with my sister, Riley. I have memerizing eyes… I look deep into your eyes and will share with you what is on my mind… My foster mom says please call her and ask her lots of questions about me. IF you let me tell you all about me… it sounds like I bragging… I will say though… I am a good girl and I get along with older cats, younger cats and children. I play nice and I snuggle and love attention.“ Foster mom Piper 336-682-2292 please call her if you want to meet me.

You can meet and visit with many of our cats at the AARF House (311 Harvey St, Winston Salem) during our adoption fair hours. Go to www.aarfanimals.org for information about our adoption fair hours and adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Winston-Salem Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
