About Sirius
My name is Sirius, I am a domestic-short-haired black and white male, and I was born around April 10, 2017. My brothers, sister, mom and I all came to AARF after a nice lady rescued us from being terrorized by a mean raccoon. I am quite adventurous, and am the first to climb and jump onto something (although my siblings usually follow). I love playing with my siblings and my foster mom, but when its naptime I am more than happy to curl up on my foster mom’s lap. When I am happy, you’ll know it, because I can purr with the best of them. My brother James has taught me how to be vocal, so when I need something (usually food or attention) I’ll be sure to let you know! I will be ready to go to my forever home around June 28, 2017, and would prefer either to go with one of my three other siblings (Lilly, Lupin or James), so I have someone to play with!
If you have any questions about me, contact my foster mom, Hannah at Hannahnicholes@gmail.com
You can meet and visit with many of our cats at the AARF House (311 Harvey St., Winston Salem) during our adoption fair hours. Go towww.aarfanimals.org for information about our adoption fair hours and adoption process.

About Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation, Inc. (AARF)

About Our Rescue Group...

Mission Statement: AARF aids homeless and helpless cats and dogs in the greater Winston-Salem area: providing rescue and adoption services, while encouraging the human/animal bond.

Strategic Focus Area: Neglected, homeless and abused companion animals, and the pets whose owners have either gone to nursing homes or are deceased.

History: Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation, Inc. (AARF) was incorporated in 1995 as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization to assist animals and people in the community through adoption services and rescue operations. AARF is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is supported by 136 regular volunteers who work tirelessly, and other 'as needed' volunteers who participate in special events/fundraisers to implement the AARF mission. We also have 10 volunteer veterinarians who work with us to support our goals.

Other Accomplishments: AARF works with local veterinarians to hold several Rabies Clinics per year. Public education on animal care and pet owner responsibility is a priority. We also rescue suitable animals from euthanasia.
