Knox's Story...
Oh my….Knox!! Where to begin? This loving hound mix is around 6 months old and is so ready for his forever home. After being left on the side of the road with a shattered pelvis, Knox has recovered beautifully under the love and support of Addicus and his foster family. While Knox may have an unusual gait, it hasn’t stopped him from enjoying short walks and playing with other dogs. Knox loves all people, belly rubs, a comfy bed, cuddles, and especially kids! He is crate trained and house trained. Because of his pelvis, Knox may require some extra support as he grows. This guy will greet you every time with love, kisses and snuggles. Come and meet Knox and you’ll forever be in love! If interested, please fill out an application here [ http://addicuslegacy.org/adoption-application.html ] and we will get back to you asap!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Knox, a Austin Hound (Unknown Type)/Mountain Cur puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Mountain Cur for sale in Austin, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Mountain Cur puppy from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Mountain Cur breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
