Facts about Kahlua

  • Breed: Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Kahlua was surrendered by her owner, no reason why stated. She is now living with his foster mom and a family of dogs and cats. She gets along with everybody and is a calm and gentle girl. She is housebroken and crate trained, although she would rather be on your lap. She loves her walks and car rides, but is satisfied taking it easy on a coach, watching her favorite TV shows. We are absolutely shocked as to why she was surrendered, but we are going to find her the very best home, because she is absolutely the best girl.

She is on a special no grain, no potato diet to help her skin and fur restore their luster. A lack of good food coupled with neglect has affected this so she'll be once again glowing once she has been on the proper diet.

She is ready to go home!

About K9 Kismet Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

K9 Kismet was founded to provide a resource for families of 4-legged (or 3-legged... we love our tripods) furries to be able to stay together in times of financial hardship by offering assistance with food, medical, and housing relocation services.

Our secondary mission is to rescue shelter animals and find them forever home.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are residents of their foster family homes and are available for meet and greets by appointment. We are currently too small to hold adoption events, but may be invited to participate in events hosted by other rescues. Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for event announcements.

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters must be willing to complete an adoption application and home check prior to placement of the animal. All members of the household are required to meet the pet prior to adoption. If other animals are in the home, a meet and greet among the animals is also required. We offer foster-to-adopt options if additional time is needed.

Adoption fees vary on animal and medical status, but in general are:

$250 - young and adult dogs*
$250 - seniors*
$150 - young and adult cats*
$100 - senior cats*

$500 ($200 refundable upon completion of puppy training class)* for puppies or kittens who have not yet received all vaccinations prior to entering our rescue - getting them ready to enter mainstream society is expensive!

*Prices listed above are maximum prices. If our costs to care for the animal are less than the amounts listed above, K9 Kismet will offer a discount.

All animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
