Licorice's Story...
Little Licorice is a 5 yr old Chi mix available at the MC Animal Care, West shelter. Licorice is kind of a shy lady, but warms up pretty quick. Treats help! Licorice slowly but surely started taking treats from us and giving us some adorable tail wags. She is a quiet and gentle dog who is learning what love is all about. She hasn't yet learned to walk on the leash, so you can carry her or she says she's up for learning with a patient and loving family. :-)

Licorice does well with her kennel mate who is around her size. Bring your dog from home in and everyone can meet!

You can visit Licorice at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Her adoption includes spay, rabies certificate and County license. Licorice- A3952735

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Licorice, a Phoenix Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
