August (Auggie)'s Story...
Puppies! Meet June and August (Auggie), two 16 week old pups that were turned in by their owner/breeder because their placement fell thru. They are all natural, black/tan and really stinking cute. They didn't come in to us in the best shape so they are overcoming a couple of little medical hiccups. June has a fractured jaw which we discovered because she had a thicker jaw line on one side. Luckily it doesn't effect her eating, drinking or activity level and she should heal just fine with no further trauma. August (Auggie) had a small spot of missing fur that we suspected could be a fungal so we are waiting on test results but we treated him just in case. The kennel is no place for puppies to grow up so we want to see them in homes asap. They seem to be good with other dogs and people but we don't recommend Auggie for a home with cats. Any questions? You can contact the rescue in Fillmore, ca at dobierescue@earthlink.net or 805-524-5102 for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

August (Auggie), a Fillmore Doberman Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Fillmore, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher puppy from a breeder in Fillmore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fillmore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fillmore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fillmore paves the way for another one to be saved.
