Meet Sienna!

This sweet girl is about three years old and 40 pounds. Sienna was rescued form a high-kill shelter in NC. Since being rescued she has been spayed and is UTD on her shots. Sienna is dog/kid and cat approved!

We believe at some point this pretty girl may have been hit by a car or suffered some type of injury. As you can see, she has a one of a kind smile and she also has a very unique paw...at NEHS, we love her just the way she is! She is also house/crate trained! Scoop this girl up!

If you would like to adopt this adorable girl, please fill out an application on our website:

About New England Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

The New England Humane Society is an all breed dog rescue located in Northern Rhode Island. We have foster homes located throughout New England. We are a group of dedicated animal lovers who rescue animals from euthanasia at overcrowded county shelters and pounds, as well as abandoned animals, litters found in fields, and other homeless animals in need. NEHS’s goal is to care for these rescues until they find their forever homes, and educate the public about responsible pet care. Our animals are fully vetted and spayed or neutered. They are treated regardless of age, breed, or medical cost. NEHS receives no state funding or government assistance. We survive by the donations of caring people, fund raising, and adoption fees. Since we do not have a facility, most of our pets are kept in private foster homes in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue! Adoption literally saves lives. When you adopt from our rescue, you enable us to pull another dog from a shelter, which saves the life of another dog and creates more space at the shelter so that new dogs can be kept longer.

The first step is to submit our online application. Please make sure it’s complete : )

If the application is approved, we will make arrangements for you to meet any dogs in your area that you may be interested in and that fit your requirements.
Once you have decided to adopt a dog, you will need to complete the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee of $375.00 - $450.00. The adoption fee helps us to recover a portion of the expenses we routinely incur in rescue (boarding, vaccinations, worming, spay/neuter if age appropriate, and transport) so that we can continue to save other dogs. Please note that the adoption fee is nonrefundable.
