Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet young 6 lb Rita is looking for a patient home where she can share your bed and curl up on a lap to watch TV. Rita spent her early days in a home crowded with too many cats and dogs, so she’s happy to be an only dog. She loves hearing what a good girl she is! We are working to help her feel secure and gain confidence. She is not a yappy chihuahua, but will let you know when someone comes to the door. Rita knows sit, down, and off. She is still nervous on leash walks, but enjoys exploring in her yard and soaking up the sun. She loves her toys and usually carries one with her. Rita is nearly house trained, but will need help to adjust to her new home and schedule. She uses the doggy door in her foster home, and appreciates a tiny treat each time she potties outdoors. A secure fence is a requirement, as she is very curious and a capable climber. Rita likes to go for rides in the car (during cool weather) and rides quietly in her crate in the shopping basket in dog-friendly stores. If you are looking for absolute devotion and a constant loving companion, Rita might be the perfect match for you.
