Star's Story...
Star is a 1 year old husky-shepherd mix and weighs about 35 pounds. Look at her gorgeous eyes. Chew toys, squeakies, laps around the yard, this baby loves it all. She is a wonderful dog park explorer, hiker and running partner! She's very playful and would love some children or another young dog around to keep her company. She walks well on a leash and is learning to enjoy her crate.

Adoption applications can be found at www.harttn.org. Adoption fees vary from around $200-$275 and depend on several factors including vetting costs and type of dog.

** All HART dogs are FULLY vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, up to date on shots, HW tested and on prevention.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Hermitage Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Hermitage, or seeking a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Hermitage.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hermitage already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hermitage breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hermitage paves the way for another one to be saved.
