We call this litter the "Cloud 9" Litter because there are nine puppies who are over the moon to be alive!! Their mom belonged to a family who had 10 adult dogs that roamed freely and just seemed to keep a steady stream of puppies reproducing. When everything was suddenly quiet for a few days, the woman who lived next door grew a bit concerned. She ventured over to find that the people had moved, all furnishings gone . . . and all 10 dogs locked inside the house, no food, no water. Horrified, she grabbed all 10 of them and brought them to her property. Among them was River, the sweetest, young momma dog who was just about ready to burst. When we learned of the pack, we tried to help by aiding in spaying/neutering the adults but River was too far along. Thank goodness a kind-hearted family stepped up and gave her a safe haven to have her babies and raise them in a very loving environment, and on May 12th nine healthy babies were born!! The pups have been given so much love from birth -- from young momma and from the foster family -- and have been exposed to all kinds of things, making them very well-socialized. Now all 9 babies are ready for their new lives with families who will surely be on Cloud 9 when these babies come home!!
Wyatt is as sweet as he is playful. He's the Golden Boy of the litter, a bit calmer and gentler than his other brothers. He's not the one coming with the games but he's happy to follow and join in the fun. But when it gets too crazy, he's happy to sit on the sidelines and let the others get in trouble! His mom is a 50+ pound mostly-Lab girl who has
the sweetest disposition ever . . . which all of her babies seem to have inherited even Max). She had a few "boyfriends" though so it's hard to tell what breed-mix the puppies are or how big they'll get (they're chunks now!!).
