Louisa's Story...
"Louisa" - this poor girl has been through more in her short life than any dog should have to go through. Her litter was found nursing off of their dead mom - they were only about 4 weeks old and so tiny....our vet took them in and provided round the clock care for them but only Louisa was strong enough to survive! She is now happy, healthy and ready for a family of her own. Louisa is a happy, playful puppy who is great with other dogs and kids. She is currently 11 weeks old and in foster care in West TN. If you'd like to add Louisa to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louisa, a Southington Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound for sale in Southington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
