I have had Austin since he was a puppy and he is now 12 years old. He's a wonderful dog but for a year now I've had a friend taking care of him because where i live I can't have my two dogs. He has low thyroid so he takes levothyroxin twice a day. Each month it costs me $20 for it. I just put it on top of his food and he eats it. He can sit, lay down, speak, shake, and play dead. He listens very well and most of the time I don't even put him on a leash. He loves being outside and loves to sun bath but he likes being around you as well. He is older so there are times he wants to be alone and he goes into his kennel on his own. He does well with baths but doesn't care for them much. I used to take him hiking with me but since i haven't had them in a year i haven't. I have another dog named Rogue and she is a mutt. Maybe a german shepard/ huskey mix but if possible would like to keep them together. She is very loving an more of the cuddler. Both up to date on their shots. Both fixed, and get their teeth cleaned once a year. Rogue loves to chase squirrels and loves walks just like Austin. She doesn't have any health issues. She can sit, lay down, and shake. She loves to eat so I try to keep her food portioned properly. If you have any questions please ask. It is so important to try and find them a home together because they have always be together. They are wonderful dogs and i know most people don't want older dogs but they will put so much love into your life and they are already trained well.
