Jazz's Story...
Jazz is a soft grey Russian Blue mix, about 10 lbs and a little over a year old. She was one of a litter of 4 kittens abandoned in a box near a local adult school campus in Spring 2016. Jazz was adopted once but ran back to the adult school when the resident little dog attacked her. She is currently being cared for by a person seeking to find her a permanent home.

Jazz is a people friendly cat. Super social, she will walk up to strangers for love, give head butts and request tummy rubs. She will talk to you when you come into a room. She loves to roll in catnip and play with feather toys and toys on strings.

Jazz is happy to be an indoor cat. She is curious and will climb sisal poles to see the view from the top, spending most of the day lounging on her window perch. She is litter box trained and can be left alone all day. She will tolerate being bathed and makes no complaint at being put into a carrier.

Jazz was already spayed and she has been given a complete vet check; she tested negative for FELV/FIV and is now fully vaccinated, de-wormed, treated for fleas and microchipped. In short, this wonderful young cat is all ready to move into your loving home as your best buddy. Jazz would likely prefer to be your only pet. She tends to hiss at other cats and has not had a good experience with dogs either.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jazz, a Castro Valley Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
