My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Puffy Opie is a 2 year old neutered male blue merle and the show dog type of Australian Shepherd. He is quieter by nature than some of the working line Aussies, but still needs a good amount of exercise. He likes female dogs and some non-assertive male dogs. He is house trained and crate trained and came from a private home whose work schedule changed and there was no time for him. Opie did live with another older dog, but would like a playmate closer to his age of 2. He greets people with great enthusiasm, so we are working on polite greetings-in other words a nice sit to say hello.

Opie is working on obedience and loves to ride in the car just to be with his people. He is good with cats, but may chase, so dog savvy cats only. He would like to be your walking or hiking partner as well as to do some obedience classes. Adult home only-has not lived with children. Opie has been treated for Lyme disease while in rescue.

Opie is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, Heartworm negative and on Heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
