Cosmo's Story...
Impossible not to fall in love with Cosmo! He will melt in your arms for cuddles but still has a very playful side too. He is estimated to be 1 year old and he came to us from the county shelter when they had no room to keep him. She gets along great with other cats and even grooms them. He is currently in the adoption center at PetSmart in Danville and he is helping one of our shy kittens feel more comfortable at the store. He is a delight!

Adoption fee includes distemper vaccination ( initial + booster), rabies vaccination, de-worming, testing for feline leukemia/FIV and spay/neuter

Caswell Pet Lifeline is a 501c3 organization made up of all volunteers. We have no paid positions or shelter facility. All rescue cats and kittens are cared for in volunteer foster homes. Our adoption fee is $80 and 100% of fee goes to provide vet care for our rescue kitties.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo, a Mebane Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mebane, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Mebane.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mebane already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mebane breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mebane paves the way for another one to be saved.
