Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Newville, PA
Jacks is looking for a new home since his parents are unable to care for him any longer. They needed to move to an assisted care facility and Jacks was not able to go along.
Jacks is very laid back. He loves to be in the same room as people and will even hang out in the bathroom while you take a bath or shower. He will crawl on the couch to watch TV with you. He loves to be petted, loves the laser pointer, and will play until he collapses on the floor.
Jacks has lived with and gets along well with other cats. He has also spent some time with children. He would often allow young children to hug or lay on him. Jacks will take treats from a toddler’s hand and is very gentle not to nip him when he retrieves the treat. He is great with kids and strangers.
Jacks has also had encounters with dogs. When they visit, if the pup runs up and scares Jacks, he will raise his back, fluff his tail, and growl deep inside. He usually will hold that pose until the pup moves away then returns to normal.
Jacks is approximately 7 years old, neutered, and declawed. If you’re interested in fostering and/or adopting him, please contact Marianne at marianne.m.barrick.civ@mail.mil or (717) 245-4118.
