Hamilton's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Hamilton's Story...
Hamilton here. Here’s how we can be pals. Throw ball. Take wet ball from my mouth. Throw ball. Take wet ball from my mouth. Repeat. Yes, I love to play and yes...I'm really a retriever. I've been told by many that you can admire my handsomeness as I run after it. I have a gorgeous black coat, that is sleek and shiny, especially in the sun.

However, don’t think all my spunk means I can’t settle down. Once I've been allowed to stretch my legs, I'll come back in the house, lounge around and relax. I definitely know how to chill out. If you will let me put my head on your knee, I love ear scratches. And if you rub my belly, I will be SO happy.

I would love to have some canine siblings, because I’m a more the merrier kind of guy. I get along very well with other dogs, so if you don't have other dogs, but want to take me to a dog park or daycare, I'll do very well. I'm good at appropriate play. Human siblings are good too, especially if they can throw balls and take me on walks. Despite being 70 lbs, I don't jump up and am good with children. I'm pretty good at walking on a leash and using a front lead harness makes me even better. Oh, another thing, if you give me treats, I can show you what skills I’m working on. I know “Sit” and “Down” already. Come meet me, I know you will love me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hamilton, a Houston Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
