Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gwinn arrived as a stray, very thin and with a wound on her left upper lip, suspected to be a "rodent ulcer" which responded well to treatment and has left just a small scar. Since arriving at the shelter in June 2017, she has put on weight (perhaps a little bit too much weight, she is on a diet now) and seems pretty happy to lounge in her indoor climate-controlled kitty room. We think she is about 12 years old, and she has a playful side as you can see in her photos and video.
She doesn't really seek out the other cats in her room, but she does tolerate them (though she can be a little bit bossy with them, the Grande Dame of her Catdom). She *will* try to eat any other cat's food, so if in a multi-cat home, they should not be free-fed.
You can see even in her photo expressions that she KNOWS she is special, and you will be SO LUCKY to choose her for your new family member. She likes all the people she meets, and should do well as an indoor or indoor/outdoor cat. She's a pretty easy-keeper who should fit into just about any family.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Gwinn is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
